Through your continued selling efforts since the launch of HPP, Appearance Protection has experienced consistent growth in sales and performance in 2016. In the last quarter of the year, sales penetration grew to 7.23% from 4% in the first quarter of the year. Along with additional sales, more customers are utilizing the products’ benefits, and returning to Hyundai dealerships to make claims and ensure their vehicles remain in pristine condition.

As we strive to listen to feedback from dealers and to ensure sustainable growth for the program, Hyundai Auto Canada would like to announce some important product enhancements and pricing revisions to the Hyundai Appearance Protection, effective March 17th, 2017.

DETAILS OF THE CHANGES

Product Enhancements

Based on claims analysis and dealer feedback, we will be making the following enhancements to the product coverage:

  • Head and Tail Light Protection

Coverage will be extended to include Fog Lights, providing more value to customers in the case of cracked or shattered head, tail, or fog lights.

  • Key and Keyless Remote Replacement

Coverage will be extended to include replacement of batteries for inoperative keys and keyless remotes due to batteries failure.

  • Tire and Wheel Replacement

Coverage will be extended to include tire levies, tire valves, and wheel weights on all Tire and Wheel Replacement approved claims.

  • Car Rental Benefit

All approved Paint and Wheel Repair claims will receive double the car rental benefit amount of up to $70. All other approved claims will continue to receive $35 rental benefit, which will be offered per repair visit without the “per day” limit.

  • Paint Repair:

The definition of “collision” is now included in the Terms and Conditions.

Pricing Revisions

With increased sales of the product and therefore usage of its benefits, there will be an adjustment to the dealer cost in order to ensure the longevity and sustainability of the program.
